Big apetite

Waking up early has its advantages. You can shower without stress and you prepare a nice breakfast. Right now I'm cooking "instant rice soup". I discovered it the other day at the "Asian shop". It's like instant noodles but… rice soup. Now this is not congee, but really more like a soup. I ate it before in Thailand and loved it. Soup is good. ^__^

My breakfast in Bangkok. You can't really see the rice though as it lies in the bottom. It definitely look a lot better than the one I'm about to eat…. :P

My apetite has been so good lately, despite sickness and everything. Right now I longing for a big shortcake (sockerkaka)! I think I'm gonna buy one on my way to office...

Chinese news radio....

When I sat on the bus in Haikou, I heard a familiar tune playing over and over during the radio news sessions. It didn't take me long time to figure out where I've heard it befrore. It was the config screen music for the Nintendo 64 game "Wave Race 64"!

Chinese people are pretty shameless when it comes to stealing songs, and I've heard tracks from both Japanese anime series and games, as well as Hollywood soundtracks, in several Chinese TV productions. Well, at least they had good taste in their selections!

Saturday evening

Tonight's food

My new Bang & Olufson TV! Heavy as hell. Genuinely heavy. And not until I had it at home I realized that it probably wasn't 32" as stated, but what's even worse: it's not even widescreen! 

Oh well, it's pretty damn sexy and the sound quality is gorgeous!

Bourgone wine. Something I missed when I was in China.

Patrick somehow just "convinced" me to buy a new TV… I thought the price was appealing, so I asked him to call the seller, and one minute later that old thing below was mine…

Sick

I don't feel very good right now. Lack of sleep and a cold that's just waiting to explode is my probable diagnosis. I've been feeling nauseated and dizzy whole day, so I left office early to rest.

Pancakes!

Woke up early and watch some video clips. Saw someone eat pancakes and got a sudden urge to make pancakes. Too bad I don't have any jam at home, so sugar will have to do.

Fat!

Oh shit, just discovered that my "fatter stomach" really is fat! Might sound silly, but lately I've noticed that I definitely gained some weight and I've also been joking about how my body is undergoing changes for the 30s, but seeing the thing in profile in the mirror really made me realize it.

It kinda looks stupid. Like a little ball around the bellybutton. Can't it grow more even, on the sides, chests, arms, etc??? I look like an alien now. Or a pregnant man!

There is of course also a tiny chance that it's all the flight food I ate..

Göteborg, here I come!

I'm sitting in Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam waiting for my last plane to the final destination. My trip so far has been rather conventional, with nothing special happening at all. Or it could just be that I'm getting so used to problems that I simply don't care anymore. I've been sleeping through the whole trip so I guess I won't have much memory left of it tomorrow.

I've caught a cold. Not sure if it's a persistant one or just a getting-used-to-airplane-coldness-one.
